I have been trying for some time to get everything to come together to capture the Milky Way, but have had no success. I figured I would attempt it again in June on a western trip to Telluride and Moab areas… I have seen a lot of shots of the Milky Way from Utah, and more specifically, the Moab and Arches National Park area. Ok, I might actually have a chance…
I arrive in Moab on a day where there is literally a full moon that night, which, that alone didn’t stop me… but also it was cloudy most of the evening and night, rendering my plan useless.
It wasn’t until 2 weeks later, back in Indiana that everything did fall into place and I was able to get my first shots of the Milky Way while sitting in the dark in Brown County State Park on a Saturday night.
You can see the final shots including a panorama that I shot in gallery below. Now, I am going to fine tune my techniques, timing etc in an attempt to get better shots of the Milky Way.
